Justine Attard

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Maltese and Psychology in 2010 and then pursued a Higher Diploma in Psychology, which I obtained from the University of Malta in 2011. I then went on to read for a Master in Gestalt Psychotherapy with the Gestalt Psychotherapy Institute of Malta and graduated in 2018. In 2019, I completed my Master of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at the University of Malta. As a warranted clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, I have been practicing in the field of mental health since 2012.

I have worked extensively with varying degrees of mental health difficulties in adults, such as anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and relational issues. I have also worked in the field of developmental disorders, especially with children on the autism spectrum. I am a firm believer that individuals have their own unique narratives, therefore psychotherapy needs to be tailored to the individual needs of clients and in the best interest of their healing process and self-growth.

I am also a part-time visiting lecturer at the University of Malta. My research interests include the application of an integrative psychotherapeutic approach to severe mental illness and personality disorders.
